Margaret Mitchell House & Museum celebrates the author of Gone With the Wind. The Martin Luther King National Historic Site reminds of Atlanta's place in the 1960s struggle for freedom.

Atlanta is also known as the Cultural Capital of the South. Fabulous Fox Theatre, built in Middle Eastern architectural style, is one of only two Georgia theatres with a stage large enough to accommodate broadway shows. Woodruff Arts Center is home to the Atlanta Ballet, the Atlanta Opera, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Alliance Theatre and High Museum of Art.

Underground Atlanta is a popular destination for entertainment and shopping. Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Philips Arena and SunTrust Park are venues for world class sports (football, basketball and baseball respectively) as well as other forms of entertainment. The Georgia Aquarium is the world's largest aquarium.

Atlanta's emergence as an international city and center of commerce is seen in the presence of CNN Center, the Carter Presidential Library, as well as the world headquarters of Coca Cola, Delta Airlines and Home Depot. Centennial Park, located near CNN Center, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Georgia Aquarium in Downtown Atlanta, is a legacy of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.

Atlanta has also become a major television and movie production center. Atlanta is a location of choice for television and film production. Television and film production studios in Atlanta include Tyler Perry Studios, Atlanta Filmworks Studio as well as an EUE/Screen Gems studio. More studios are planned for the Atlanta area.
